Hello! I’m Ariana and I’m currently an English teaching in rural Japan. I don’t know where I’m going or how I’m getting there, but you’re welcome to join me on this adventure!

A bit of history about me. I was born in California and lived there most of my life though the past few years, before Japan, were been spent in Washington. This is my second time living in Japan. The first time was from 2010 to 2011. I was living in Tokyo during the time of the Great Tohoku Earthquake and was studying Japanese at a small language school there. Sadly, upon returning to America, I forgot a lot of what I learned so I’m having to relearn a lot this time around. Before Kasai, Hyogo prefecture, where I live now, I was living in Fukuchiyama, Kyoto Prefecture, for a year. There, I taught at 6 different elementary schools. I really loved the town and would have liked to stay, but the fates did not allow it and so now I’m teaching at a small English school run by foreigners. It’s a busy busy job, but someone’s gotta do it! (Ok, no they really don’t, but just go with it.)

My hobbies include anime & manga, watching musicals, and doing photography.  I use my cellphone a lot since it’s almost always on me and it takes low light photos better than my current camera. (Which is a little sad really…)

You’ll hear me talk about The Prince of Tennis a lot and specifically Musical Prince of Tennis, also known as Tenimyu. Here is the site if you want to learn more about it, however, it’s all in Japanese(There’s a lot of pretty pictures you can look at though?): Tenimyu Official Site

Another thing you’ll hear me talk about a lot is my zoo. It’s form has changed many a time, but right now I am proud mama to 2 rabbits and a cat…and 3 plants.

Other than that, feel free to comment or to ask me questions or anything! Thank you for visiting!5c20b81d78296da817234550a585c3d3
